iRise is a multifaceted nature-based climate change solution that delivers high-quality carbon offsets, biodiversity restoration and poverty alleviation. The primary components of the integrated solution are indigenous species reforestation, higher-efficiency cookstoves, and regenerative agriculture.
iRise delivers its program with the support of local communities and drives rural socioeconomic development through equitable project benefits distribution.
The company is deploying its program at scale in the Republic of Malawi, where iRise is restoring over 1 million hectares of land. Implementation is being delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Climate Change, a non-profit led by the former President Her Excellency Dr. Joyce Banda, the Ngoni and Tumbuka people of Malawi, and some of the world’s most prestigious climate financiers.
